One of my students brought the book to class this morning. Obama's speech cadence is slow enough and over-enunciated to the point that most of my students can follow him, even if they can't understand the words or string the compund-complex grammar together. I guess that's good enough for their man-crush ... at least it's a better rationale than Chris Matthews ever offered.
